FAQs

What is PETFEST, anyway?
PETFEST is BFF's annual music festival / fundraiser, featuring 20+ bands, musicians, and performers on 2 outdoor stages located behind Petshop (2725-2729 N. 62nd St.).

Where do I park?
Parking in Benson can be tricky, but there is a FREE public parking lot located just one block east of Petshop at 2729 N. 61st Street. The following options are also available at select times:

Evenings and weekends only

Immanuel Lutheran Church
2725 N. 60th Ave.
Monday-Sunday between 7:00 pm and 12:00 am
What will I need to get in?
If you've purchased a ticket in advance ($30), we'll just need your name and ID.
You may also purchase tickets at the front gate ($40) using credit cards, cash, or paypal.
IDs and bag checks will be required.

How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online! DO IT :)

Is PETFEST all ages?
Yes! Children 10 and under get in free! We can't guarantee that all programming will be suitable for all children, but you know your kids better than we do ;)

Can I bring a chair?
Of course! There's a modest amount of seating inside the festival, but it never hurts to be prepared for comfort!
How do I buy merchandise?
Band, performer, and musician merchandise will all be available using ONLY venmo, cash app, or cash (dependent on availability). BFF merchandise can be purchased using credit cards, cash, or paypal.

How do I buy drinks?
All drinks can be purchased by 21+ adults using drink tickets. Drink tickets can be purchased at the front gate and the merch table.
What's the water situation?
There will be multiple water re-fill stations inside the festival. We encourage you to bring a refillable bottle (make sure it's empty upon arrival) OR purchase a stellar BFF color-changing water bottle on-site!

Are animals welcome?
YES! As long as they are friendly, well-behaved, and leashed or contained, we welcome ALL furries.
Can I bring my own food?
You may bring food into the festival grounds - but NO COOLERS allowed. We encourage event-goers to patronize area restaurants and enjoy food from Nocturnal Eats Food Truck, the official food truck of Petfest!
What items are NOT allowed?
Illegal drugs and substances OR weapons of any kind are NOT allowed inside PETFEST. No fireworks neither!
What happens if it rains?
PETEFEST will go on - rain or shine! In the event of severe weather, safety precautions will be communicated to event-goers.
Is smoking allowed?
Respectful tobacco smoking and vaping is allowed. Please be make sure your clouds of smoke are not wafting towards others' directions if possible.
Can you leave and come back?
Yes! You'll need to get a special stamp at the front gate before exiting if you plan to return.

What's the sun/shade situation?
Before 6pm, the sun can be brutal at PETFEST. Some shade areas are available, but we suggest you lather on the sunscreen and wear sun-protecting clothing and accessories.
Do Furries get in free?
Yes. Although just a hashtag to promote the first PETFEST 6 years ago, this time honored tradition has continued to be honored at the festival front gate.
