This week’s First Friday will take the form of a fundraiser to support local organizations, artists, & efforts committed to this. 
We will be celebrating Black & LGBTQIA2S+ communities through artists, performers, and community engagement.

Volunteers needed:
June 4th - June 7th
4 hour shifts: 6am-8am -- 8am-12pm -- 12pm-4pm
Shift leaders also needed to reinforce and inspire confidence on what demonstrators are allowed to do, police interaction management, media interaction, & supplies disbursement.

​Why: We were established to educate through the teachings of Malcolm X’s legacy on a local, national and international scale. We own 15 acres of land including the former home site of Malcolm X who was born here in Omaha, Ne.
We teach about our history, culture, and act upon Bro. Malcolm's legacy by working with youth to improve our condition in life.
We intend to impact upon the perpetuation of Bro. Malcolm’s ideals of unity, equality and collective success by establishing institutions & programs on the Malcolm X birthplace & throughout the world.

Legal Aid of Nebraska
​Why:  Legal Aid of Nebraska has been the state’s only non-profit law firm since 1963. We provide free civil legal services to low-income Nebraskans in all 93 counties. Legal Aid has offices in Omaha, Lincoln, Grand Island, Bancroft, North Platte, Norfolk, Scottsbluff and Lexington.
Out attorneys and paralegals have fought for and secured important victories for disadvantaged folks in the areas of housing, family law, consumer law and public benefits.
