Artist Support

BFF is ARTIST DRIVEN!

Below you’ll find current exhibition opportunities and special calls for artists. We also recommend following us on social media and subscribing to our artist newsletter for the latest opportunities, including calls from BFF Omaha and other arts organizations across the community.

Artist Support and Economic Opportunities

BFF Omaha supports artists through paid opportunities, accessible space, and real pathways to sell, show, and perform. This work focuses on reducing barriers, compensating artists for their labor, and creating multiple on-ramps for artists at different stages of their careers to engage with the Benson Creative District.

Artist Studios

BFF maintains multiple artist studios across our spaces, providing affordable, flexible workspaces for artists working in a variety of disciplines. Studio access supports sustained creative practice and deeper connection to the neighborhood’s creative ecosystem.

Artist Exhibitions, Projects, and Performances

BFF Omaha works with artists to show and share their work across multiple spaces, projects, and events. Opportunities for both visual and performing artists are offered on recurring or rolling bases.

See current exhibition and performance opportunities below!

Artist Markets

BFF Omaha’s Artist Markets create consistent, low-barrier opportunities for artists and makers to sell their work directly to the public. Markets take place on-street during warmer months and indoors during colder months, with programming tied closely to First Friday and other district events. These markets prioritize accessibility, visibility, and fair participation, giving artists real-world experience pricing, presenting, and selling their work while building relationships with new audiences.

Public Art & Placemaking Opportunities

Public art is a core part of neighborhood beautification in the Benson Creative District. The BFF Green Team manages and supports a range of creative placemaking projects, including murals, banner projects, temporary installations, and other artist-led interventions in public space. These projects respond to neighborhood needs, partnerships, and funding availability, so opportunities arise at different times rather than on a fixed schedule.
