Benson Bolt .5k: The Race for People Who Hate Running
🗓️ October 3rd | 📍 St. Andrews Pub | 6102 Maple St.
All the trauma bonding of a marathon—minus the trauma, the mileage, and the actual athleticism. Welcome to the Benson Bolt .5k, where we run a whopping .31 miles (yes, that decimal is intentional) through some of Benson’s finest spots.
Forget the starting gun—we’re kicking things off with a shot at St. Andrews. Hydration? Optional. Swagger? Mandatory. Then it’s a brisk stumble to The Sydney for shot number two, because cardio is better with gatorade vodka.
We’ll wrap things up somewhere around 58th and Corby and crash straight into the Handmade Parade. Costumes are highly encouraged—because if you’re going to run less than half a mile, you might as well look stellar doing it.
Registration can be found HERE.
Your Registration Includes:
A Benson Bolt t-shirt
Two shots for the run
all other proceeds go toward The Deck Exchange
What is The Deck Exchange? Our friends at Central Skateshop (also the masterminds behind the Benson Bolt .5k) are launching The Deck Exchange, a new program that hooks up local youth with free skate decks for crushing it in school.
Here’s how it works:
1. Show you’re improving your grades or keeping straight A’s
2. Get a free shop board—no catch, just props for your hustle
It’s all about keeping doors open and wheels turning for the amazing young people in our neighborhood.
So lace up your sneakers, stretch your liver, and join us for the most gloriously unserious race of the year.
