![]() The Benson Neighborhood Association's annual clean up is set for Saturday, May 6. That made us think - hey, why don't we encourage people to get a head start the night before? So that's why we're hosting the first ever BFF Clean Up Challenge. During the May 5 edition of BFF, we challenge all BFFers to fill a small bag with "micro trash" from the streets of Benson and get rewarded with gift cards! We're defining "micro trash" as stuff that's smaller than your fist - cigarette butts, candy wrappers, hair nets (yep, we've seen 'em occasionally blowing down Maple Street like tumbleweeds in the Old West), plastic cups and anything else that fits in your bag. You can pick up your trash bag at the BFF Artist Market on Military Avenue, then return there when you're done filling it. Questions? Ask the fine folks at the artist market. See you on the street.

![]() BFF is all about interacting - with art, music, food, people, diversity, culture, the street and new experiences. That's the driving force behind our latest venture: the BFF Art Booth (or BooFF, as we call it). Think of a kid's lemonade stand, except the kid is an artist and the lemonade is, well, whatever the artist decides it is. On Friday, May 5, the art booFF will be set up where Military meets Maple from 5:00 to 10:00pm. Artist Laura Hopp plans to transform it into an oracle shop. Stop by for a tarot reading and a little walk on the metaphysical side. The following month, the booFF will be occupied by a different artist or arts organization. Grab a friend and check it out, then tell us what you think on Facebook. |
